Partners in design

Shropshire-based creative specialists Hunter Bevan have been chosen by Border Publishing, the publishers of Border Business, to provide front-line marketing and design solutions for their clients. The partnership was sealed late July after Border Publishing chose to retire its own design agency service, Border Creative, in order to concentrate on the growing demand for its magazine titles. “Producing magazines is what we’re best at,” says Publisher Dan Bromage. “Marketing and design is what Hunter Bevan are best at. So it makes sense for two of the region’s leading creative businesses to join forces and work together in offering clients a complete marketing solution.”
In sourcing their partners, Border identified a range of criteria to be met if they were to refer clients expecting a certain level of service. Independent, family-owned and customer-focused, Hunter Bevan matched Border’s ideals perfectly.
“To get the best out of any advertising, a company’s marketing plan has to be right, and to make the most of a marketing plan, the advertising has to be right,” adds Bromage. “With consumer titles and the region’s only regular business magazine to our name, Border Publishing cover all bases in terms of where local companies need to be promoting their products and services. In order to maximise that opportunity, we we’re keen for our clients to use the services of a talented and close-knit team of marketing and design experts who ensure corporate identity is maintained to the highest of standards across the complete range of online and print-based marketing solutions.”
Hunter Bevan Creative Director Neil Bevan insists the move is a positive one for businesses in Wales and the West Midlands looking to develop their brands regionally, and predicts real results for the future. “After 10 years in business, constantly delivering in terms of creativity and image for local businesses, we know only too well that unless a firm’s image, marketing and internet presence is coherent, planned and communicated well, it counts for very little,” says Bevan. “So to be working in partnership with the region's flagship independent magazine publisher is a major bonus for both ourselves and our clients.
“ I feel sure that together we’re going to do great things for the region’s business community.”
